Cincinnati Symphony appoints Cristian Măcelaru as next music director

Cristian Măcelaru has been appointed as music director of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, succeeding Louis Langrée, beginning in the 2024-’25 season. Măcelaru is currently music director of the Orchestre National de France and chief conductor of the WDR Sinfonieorchester in Cologne, Germany.
